We are a team of graphic and architectural signage designers. We are not in the practice of architecture, but in the practice of solving visual communication problems within the built environment. The background of the staff reflects 70 years of hands-on experience working on large scale, comprehensive wayfinding signage programs.
Founder and Principal of The Design Office of Steve Neumann and Friends. Educated in communication design and photographic illustration at the Rochester Institute of Technology, his professional experience reflects the responsibilities as senior director for the Kelvin Group,Inc. Houston’s leading pure design studio. Then, with six of his associates, SN&F was formed in 1973. He is a founding member of the SEGD, and has contributed much to the advancement of wayfinding development thru education and mentoring.
Receiving an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Visual communication in 1984 from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh , six years at the Mellon Bank Corp. as a graphic artist and three years at Mckinsey & Co., Consulting in the same capacity, she brings to the firm senior design and production assistance on all projects. Lillian, fluent in Spanish, provides SN&F with translation services as the projects merit.
Received an Associate of Applied Arts Degree in Visual Communication in 1985 from The Art Institute of Houston. With six years in the CRSS, Inc. graphic design department, he became well versed in computer technology and its applications for graphic design. Hady has brought these skills to SN&F for over 15 years as project designer and technology coordinator. He is now a senior associate of the firm.
Graduated Cum Lade from the University of Houston, with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts specializing in Graphic Communications. Along with her other production designer work she is also the assistant Spanish/English translator for the signage programs. She is the primary 3D rendering designer for wayfinding.
Graduated from The Art Institute of Houston (2008) with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design, where she was an honors student. She contributes her architectural experience to the field, as well as her interest in graphics. She provides assistance on all projects from CADD planning, programming, directories to city wayfinding projects.
Graduated from The Art Institute of Houston (2010) with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Graphic Design. She contributes her design skills to the team as well as her project administrative skills. She provides assistance on all projects from design, CADD planning, programming and wayfinding visualization.
Rhonda Holcomb brings to the firm over twenty (20) years experience in Office Management. Previously, she was employed at Mitchell Carlson Stone, Inc. for fourteen years as office manager and Heights Venture as accountant. She manages all the accounting duties (accounts payable, receivable, and payroll) and day-to-day operation of the office.
